1. From the Site Actions Menu, Select View all Site Content
2. Select the Announcements List
3. From the List Toolbar, Select Actions, View RSS Feed.
4. From the browsers Address bar, select and copy everything after and including _layouts.
5. Return to the home page.  Select Site Actions, Edit Page.
6. From the RSS Feeds section (Right Column), Select Edit, Modify Shared Web Part.
7. From the Task Pane, Select Source Editor
8. Modify the <a href=""> for your Announcements List to reflect that which you just copied.
9. Repeat these steps for the Events List

Note: The ICON and Text are linked.  This means you need to change the <a href=""> twice for each item.
